Jamie-Lee Tuuta

Jamie-Lee is of Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Mutunga o Wharekauri, Te Atiawa, Ngāti Tama and Ngāti Toa Rangatira descent. She currently works as a Barrister. She holds a Master of Laws, Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Māori and Indigenous Studies. Jamie-Lee has previous experience working as a lawyer in various settings including post-settlement iwi, public service, private practice and with community law.

Jamie-Lee is a member of the Ōtautahi Branch of the Māori Women’s Welfare League. She has served on other governance Boards in the past, including the Trust from 2015 to 2020. Jamie-Lee rejoined the Trust Board in 2022 after a request from her late Aunty Aroha who founded the organisation. Jamie-Lee is passionate about supporting the wellbeing of our whānau Māori and their pēpi and is committed to serving the community.
