This morning, kaimahi from Te Puawaitanga ki Ōtautahi Trust visited Kāinga Ora alongside our whānau at Tangata Atumotu Trust who were invited to run morning whanaungatanga. We ran a quiz, translated some common words used in housing, shared a presentation, and of course did a Siva Samoa. The kaupapa this morning was mainly to celebrate Samoan Language week, so the main theme was Samoan Culture however, as Seiuli (TAT operations manager) knew that Tamaiti Health Homes and Kāinga Ora share the same vision, the whole Tamaiti Healthy Homes team were invited to partake. We were able to meet Kāinga Ora housing managers, community connectors, and team leads. There was presentation from Tamaiti Healthy Homes, a kōrero about the service and what we do for our people in the community.
