The Poipoia te Mokopuna programme aims to encourage whānau as first kaiako /teachers, understanding how to best support their tamariki in their early learning journey. Delivered in the whare or community, whānau are supported to develop the skills to learn and play alongside their tamariki. This kaupapa supports whānau and tamariki Māori under three years of age to make early learning a priority and to transition into Early Childhood Education.
