Incredible Years parenting programme

This programme provides step-by-step strategies and tools to parents of three to eight year olds to help whānau handle every day situations.

Are you ready to participate in an encouraging and supportive learning environment? Do you want to confidently manage challenging behaviours?

This is a 14-session group course that runs once a week for two and a half hours.

The Incredible Years® is a series of interlocking, evidence-based programmes for parents, children, and teachers, supported by over 30 years of research. The goal is to prevent and treat young children’s behaviour problems and promote their social, emotional, and academic competence. The programmes are used worldwide in schools and mental health centres and have been shown to work across cultures and socioeconomic groups.

This programme is provided by Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga / the Ministry of Education and Te Puawaitanga ki Ōtautahi Trust at no cost to participants and is facilitated by trained group leaders.
