Home Tamariki Ora / Well Child service

Referral criteria

Midwives can refer their hapūtanga clients
We accept referrals for pēpi / tamariki Māori & Pacific Peoples only
We accept referrals for the Christchurch City & Rolleston Town Limits only
Whānau need to be willing and ready to engage

At this time, we are not able to provide Tamariki Ora Well Child services in North Canterbury (including but not limited to Kaiapoi, Rangiora, Woodend, Waikuku, Pegasus, Loburn, Amberley & Oxford) or the Selwyn area (including but not limited to Leeston, Rakaia, Darfield, Methven and Ashburton).

We are not an emergency service, meaning that for any emergency or concern for your pēpi / tamariki we advise and encourage you to contact your GP or visit after hours care.

Referral form

The Tamariki Ora Well Child service is provided free to whānau and tamariki from birth to five years of age. All Well Child checks are provided in the client home and timed so that key developmental milestones for age and stage are monitored.

Together with whānau, we kōrero about how pēpi is growing and developing, how the whānau are enjoying the journey of parenthood and work through any pātai or concerns.
