Te Tamaiti te Puāwai is a whānau centred kaupapa Māori mother and baby support for women who are hapū / pregnant, and mothers who have a pēpi /baby in Christchurch Women’s Prison. The programme is designed to facilitate health and wellbeing for mother and baby, and to support reintegration for whānau in the community.

We can work with you while you are hapū and after pēpi arrives.

The programme is facilitated in the mother and baby unit at Christchurch Women’s Prison, which offers a home-like environment that is safe and appropriate for pēpi.
