Measles returns to Aotearoa

It has been confirmed that measles has returned to Aotearoa. Measles is highly contagious and can be very serious for people who aren’t protected against it.

The Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccine provides great protection against measles. If anyone isn’t vaccinated or isn’t sure they can contact their GP to check. The vaccine is free for those born after 1 January 1969. Visit our immunisation page, for more information, or to book a vaccination.
