He uri ahau nō Tūhoe, Ngāti Awa, Te Whakatōhea me Te Āti Haunui-a-Pāpārangi. Roni is passionate about contributing to kaupapa that strengthen outcomes for tamariki, rangatahi, and whānau. Is naturally curious and enjoys listening to people’s stories, understanding different perspectives, and bringing people together around a shared purpose. Roni believes meaningful change happens through genuine relationships, collaboration, and supporting systems to work better for whānau. Outside of mahi, Roni is a proud māmā who loves spending time with whānau and friends, keeping active, and travelling. You’ll often find Roni on the netball court or cheering on the Silver Ferns. Roni believes the greatest change happens when we lead with aroha, authenticity, and a genuine commitment to one another.
