While Sīan has lived in Aotearoa for the past 23 years, she was born and raised on the West Coast of Wales by a Māori māmā and a Welsh pāpā.

Sīan is a Registered Nurse who has worked in specialist mental health services for over 20 years. She is comprehensively trained in Cognitive Behavioural and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. She has worked in specialist child, adolescent, family, and adult mental health services.

Her current role is focussed on developing a service that has a He Awa Whiria approach, braiding the knowledge that she has developed through her training and practice with the knowledge and wisdom of mātauranga Māori.

Sīan enjoys getting outdoors with her whānau to connect with Papatūānuku, whether that’s the beach, ngahere, or maunga. She is passionate about improving hauora outcomes for all whānau and those that come after us. She is driven by a desire to help whānau get into a space where they can dream and take steps to making these dreams a reality.
