The Big Latch On 2026!

Nau mai, haere mai ki te Big latch On!

We have listened to the hapori, and are pleased to present the Canterbury Breastfeeding Big Latch On 2026!

This is a FREE community event held at Te Pou Toetoe (Linwood Pools) that aims to normalise, protect, and promote infant feeding in Waitaha.

This year, here’s what’s on offer:

Free coffee cart (1pm – 3pm)

Guest speakers and infant feeding Q+A (programme to be announced soon!)

Breastfeeding Peer Support

Yummy kai

Soft play and colouring in for our pēpi and tamariki

Free pool entry for you and your whānau

The event will run from 1pm until 5pm, pop in for the bits you’re interested in, or stay the whole time! It’s entirely up to you. Bring the whole whānau, we would love to see you.
