After earning her Bachelor of Health Science, Anthea worked with rangatahi in the youth justice system in a programme which encouraged positive change. She then worked with whānau to support them to improve their circumstances through educational services and advocacy and coordinating the healthy homes programme before becoming a Whānau Ahwina in the Family Start space where she is now the Clinical Supervisor of the team here at the Trust. “We all deserve positive experiences, to be treated with respect and to life a life that brings joy.” She is passionate about walking alongside whānau and strives to improve the outcomes for tamariki and provide them with opportunities where they can develop and learn. Outside of her mahi, Anthea finds joy in family life, providing her boys with many different positive experiences and challenges. When the weekends are not full of sport, she enjoys spending time with whānau and doing new things. She enjoys travelling around Aotearoa and exploring all the amazing places in our whenua or just reading a good book.
