Born in Wellington, raised in Hawkes Bay, hometown being Turanga nui a kiwa (Gisborne); Geoff has whakapapa to Ngāti Porou and Ngāti Kahungunu ki te Wairoa. Geoff has had a varied career over 35 years in Management, Self-employed and Governance. He is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand and a Member of the NZ Institute of Directors. Geoff has a strong passion for Rugby (Ngāti Porou East Coast – Heartland; Ngāti Hine Moerewa-United Kawakawa – Club; Northland Taniwha – NPC and All Blacks) not to mention the NZ Warriors (Up da wahs). Whānau remain important outside of mahi and spending time with his children, mokopuna and Partner. He is committed to serving the whānau within Ōtautahi and building upon the legacy that is Te Puawaitanga ki Ōtautahi Trust whilst being humble and acknowledging the rangatiratanga of the mana whenua – Ngāi Tūāhuriri.
